The Barnes Firm Injury Attorneys announced on November 11, 2020 THREE Red Star Sponsorships of our program between three of their markets: San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. Subsequently, the STS team adopted three dogs under their generous sponsorship. Barney’s name was chosen in honor and loving memory of United States Marine Corps Veteran, Steve Barnes. Barney was adopted from our friends at Labs and More Rescue out of San Diego, CA. He is affectionate, sweet and playful, and we are so thankful we found him for our program for his veteran, Jordan!
Jordan is a US Army veteran who supported his own mental health journey by joining the Shelter to Soldier veteran family. Jordan chose this path not only for himself but for his wife, his son, and his friends. Finding a match for Jordan was almost instant. He needed a dog that would keep up with his active lifestyle and be a light in his life. Barney has been just that. We are so proud of this team and look forward to watching all that they accomplish together.
Jordan & Barney celebrated their graduation from our handler training program on December 16th, 2023.
