You may recognize Aaron as he is a previous service dog recipient of our program with Liberty the service dog in 2018. Today, Aaron has transitioned Liberty into a pet dog life due to her need to retire from spinal arthritis, and has completed his final phase of handler training with his new service dog, Murphy. The team officially retired Liberty and graduated Murphy on October 22, 2023. We adopted Murphy from our friends at Labs & More Rescue out of San Diego, CA under the Presenting Sponsorship from UNITE Hair of our 4th Annual Saving Lives, One Swing at a Time Golf Tournament in April 2022. Murphy has been a Shelter to Soldier team favorite and an absolute joy to train. We are honored to have placed UNITE’s third sponsored dog through our program, Murphy, while continuing through the training process with their fourth sponsored dog, Posh, adopted in April 2023.
