Animal Care Attendant

After the passing of her beloved senior rescue poodle, Princess, at the age of 16, Rachael found herself drawn to a new path in animal rescue. Inspired by the profound bond she shared with Princess, she began fostering and volunteering at the very rescue where she adopted her.

This pivotal experience led Rachael to leave her career as a dog groomer to pursue a more meaningful role in making a difference for shelter dogs. Today, Rachael is a dedicated team member at Shelter to Soldier, where she helps care for and transform the lives of dogs in need. When she’s not at work, she spends her free time with her three dogs—Crumb, Smidge, and her foster dog, Rootbeer.
